Statue of Heracles on the Imperial Chancellery Wing in front of the passageway into Schauflergasse. Lorenzo Mattielli created monumental sculptures of the heroic deeds of Heracles for the Baroque extension of the Hofburg under Charles VI. This one from 1728 shows Heracles fighting the Nemean Lion.
